Mecklenburg Education Digest features articles about North Carolina and Mecklenburg public education. 

The purpose is to demystify local public education.  Given all the intentional and unintentional obscuring of Charlotte-Mecklenburg School goings-on, that’s a big task. 

The NC State Board of Education is changing the delivery system for North Carolina K-12 education.   Is this better or worse?  Is it a reaction or new ideas?  Who knows? However, what is certain is that some facts will become rumors, and some rumors will become facts.  Where do families go for guidance?  

The Mecklenburg Education Digest's mission is to preserve the institutional memory so that it isn’t replaced with the latest efforts to sway public opinion.   If the victors write the history, this could well be the first time it will be written by the losers.
